hello!
17:09
Howdee! Indi made it!
Indiana Jones? Did you bring a gun, knife, or rope?
All of the above!
well prepared, then!
so 2 or 3 is the max we've seen here so far
but I invited Mr. Random, so who knows
or maybe Mr. Nut might sponsor familiar Friday chats? hmm?
(google the names + tridion if not sure who those are)
some big Tridion things to share:
- CID is out (and there's a blog post even)
- TDS is coming (around 100 registered so far)
17:51
Hrm forgot my old account
Hi everyone
yet another account?
yes
it says it doesnt recognize both of my emails for some reason
so I had to sign up for new one
perhaps the old account was attached to the sdl email
18:13
yep, cool huh?
I've gotten asked "how can we manage variations of images with Tridion" in my most recent trainings.
And the answer is typically with 2 options:
- multiple images (small/large, thumbnail/full, etc)
- image variants -- at publish you can render different sizes
but that's just bake in CM and bake at publish
CID adds frying :-)

/me needs to catch up =- what is CID?
Contextual Image Delivery
Tridion delivery-side features for managing variations of images along with caching
a use case could be to complement a Responsive Web Design approach with smaller or optimized images for the visitor's context (device/browser/whatever)
oh yeah - right - hey - I knew that!!
:-)
I did, actually
well, it was "out of context" :-)
'just haven't got the abbreviation under my thumb yet
I'm thinking the new stuff can still change.
21:31
but I think it's really cool to see this channel getting a bit more use
aye, we've doubled our max maybe?
sometimes you'd almost think people had other ways of communicating
:-)
and I only had to spam Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and Skype
most of those other ways have a #topic though
yeah - here you prolly need to spawn a new chat if you have a different #topic
@AnnaLear explained "You can also use this room for general chatting with other users about Stuff(TM)."
what's more general than #Stuff :-)
