Jumping into a Sanderson YA novel after having just read Realm of the Elderlings is such a huge difference in style.
Like he's still showing rather than telling when it comes to characterization, and his characters still have real motives and stuff so far, but the level of depth and understanding and empathizing is nonexistent compared to Hobb.
