Is there a resouce for academic writing in physics? Like dos and dont for writing a paper?

3:40 PM
@Slereah Comic Sans on blue slides? So is that supposed to be an example for "don't"?

3:51 PM
That is standard presentation for physics
Is there a coordinate-free representation of the jet of a vector field, I wonder

That's rough...everyone knows red text is the proper color for blue background

I guess it's probably just $j^k_p(X)$
If you've ever seen a physicist website you should know they're not the most tasteful people
Not really a way to do a polynomial of a manifold point if it's not in $\mathbb{R}^n$

I've seen some pretty great ones. They usually take me back to simpler internet days
I have some memory of one with red text on a tiled green background or something like that, but I don't remember who it was

Hi all, I have a quick questoin
If I pluck a string with bounded ends to produce the fundamental harmonic, it produces a low pitch.

4:52 PM
If I approximate this as a loaded/beaded string, how can I simulate it numerically?

(not homework, just a real question)... if you have a design like this (a steam generator, where the water goes in the can, and there are candles underneath the can to make steam), I get why steam would come out of the thing at the left. But why would it turn the turbine? Shouldn't the steam just rise up? I've seen videos of it working, so clearly it works. But... I don't get why the steam would have enough pressure to turn the turbine vs just going up.
