Yeah curve_fit is great.
But actually, just use np.polyfit.

Sounds like an ontological cop out if you ask me
Only the measurement outcomes and their evolution is the ontological entity in quantum physics

@danielunderwood thanks! turns out desmos can do what i want too :)
03:53
@heather that's just a linear fit like any other
but why don't you just transform the data to $z=\ln(x)$, and then you can use whatever polynomial fit you're most comfortable with?
04:06
@ZeroTheHero No problem. Happy Holidays, hoping to meet you soon (virtually)
05:02
@EmilioPisanty ...because i didn't think of that :)
@heather :-)
how've you been?
pretty good
heading off to dinner, though
catch you some other time =)

Q: Why has this question been closed?

sammy gerbilThe following question has been closed with the explanation that it is in breach of the Homework Policy : What will be the total work done by friction on the system (man+boat)? However, it is not asking for a calculation nor is it asking someone to "do my homework". It is clearly asking for a ...

@dmckee Sorry for pinging you again, but did you get notify by my request that I made yesterday about my question on electromagnetic radiation?
This question is up for grabs. I need to know what law states that all quantum particles are effected by another body no matter what mass. What law is it? I can't remember. Could someone help me out here? Ping me if you wanna tell me. It's late and I've gotta get up early tomorrow. So night y'all. I'll check this in the morning.
Maybe it's a theory and I have them mixed up.

@Loong Can you help me with electromagnetic radiation concept?
16:02
@Loong Game?
Hi. What are we supposed to discuss in "Physics chat session"?
@M.GuruVishnu nothing, that's an old feature, currently a bug
@AbhasKumarSinha Ok. Thanks for the info.
@Loong Is that a game?
:)
@Secret Hello
Is there anyone who can advice me what what I should advise the prime minister of India now? Hurry, I don't have much time left!
@AbhasKumarSinha On what?

Look like all are out for Christmas eve!

Hello!
I have a question about angular momentum and thr conservation of angular momentum.
0
Q: Is angular momentum conserved only for the center point of the centripetal force?

ICCQBEFrom my book, Consider a centripetal force is applying on a object: $$\vec{F}=f(r)\hat{r}$$ The torque for a particular point is, $$\vec{N}=\vec{r}\times\vec{F}=\vec{r}\times{f(r)\hat{r}}$$ $$\vec{N}=r\hat{r}\times{f(r)\hat{r}}$$ $$\vec{N}=rf(r)(\hat{r}\times\hat{r})=\vec{0}$$ So the angul...

@AbhasKumarSinha Nope, that has to do with charges.
@AbhasKumarSinha Like physical matter. I haven't figured it out yet.
