Hello Physics.SE , Can anybody explain that, when we solve wedge problems. Sometimes we resolve weight into its components and sometimes normal reaction. What are the conditions for doing either of the things. I have observed that mostly when block is moving, we resolve weight. And when the whole system is in rest due to a pseudo force, normal reaction is resolved. Can anybody provide some insights. Thanks!
