Small question: If I have a chemical reaction that occur when I mix reagents A and B together without any extra heat or light input, is the reason in the physical scale why the reaction happens using conservation of energy is that the electronic energy of the reacting molecules can become lower after the reaction?
That is, one in chemistry will say the energy needed for the reaction is chemical energy, but besides the electronic energy of the electrons in the molecules, what other energy types are involved in chemical energy?
