Is chemical energy basically stored energy?
I'm not sure how to define "chemical energy" while I know many physical formulas for energy e.g. potential, movement and other.
Is chemical energy an energy that is "conserved" and if so, why is chemical energy not just potential energy?

These 2 questions have clearly wrong answers with upvotes. And they're still getting votes.
The log file one especially could be tried out, it would fail, but someone still voted it up. A downvote and comment has no effect.

@ChrisWhite Well, the current iteration of KamLAND isn't a neutrino experiment any more. They've put the xenon baloon in the middle and made it a neutrinoless double beta decay experiment.
I think the general reaction is a recognition that we'd gotten what we were going to get out of the original instrument, admiration for the ballsy transformation, and dispare that they've goten it in with an unexpectedly high radiological background again.
You see, the original KamLAND had a problem with too high an original level of radon resulting in a large backgroud from alpha/Carbon-13 reactions which look almost exactly like the reactor run signal.
Building a source to evaluate that background in situ was my big task on KamLAND. (The world data wasn't good enough to evaluate it from first principles.)

I never took the job at Stack Exchange for the money. In fact, I had a small pay cut. I took the job because I was in love with the mission, I knew I could change things and make the Internet a better place. I think I did in my own little way. I love the fact that I am leaving this job with a big pile of public artefacts. This is worth much more than cold cash.
However, I am not getting any younger, I would like to have a large stake in the next project I take. The only way to have a large stake is to be a founder.

@Manishearth I see. What if they were not registered? Maybe David Zaslavsky was not aware they were not registered when he offered to merge. Anyway, I think it just affects the one question and answer, and maybe another one somewhere I can't recall. I think it just means I can't "control" them the way I can control my other questions and answers. Not important.
@RetardedPotential it hasn't.. so I guess no need for a merge. I still can do it if you want (after you edit that profile), but all it will achieve is that you'll be able to log in to your account in two different ways
@StefanBischof No peanuts for me, however, it is never too late/early for waffles. The key to seeing this lies in the relativity of late/early, and then it's just a matter of integrating the Biot-Savard equation over a gridiron.
