Just in case your jQuery console.log() output changed in Chrome and you now have some wired context appearing, it's not your fault, but Chromes. Here're some insights.

@toscho meaning?
@Rarst Not more than two columns.
@toscho two columns of what? where?
in your flow chart
well, best effort... that corner of code is nuts.
get_the_content() depends on six globals...

I really dig one line all TF authors have for their themes:
> Compatible with the most popular plugins
Aside from this being a very vague statement, they're also the guys telling that:
> Shared plugin or standards for CPT/Shortcodes will never go into my theme.
Im not even sure I understand what that last line means... do I need to put that into google translate?
Shared plugin or standards for CPT/Shortcodes will never go into my theme. -> 共享插件或CPT /简码的标准将不会进入我的主题。
Ok that makes more sense now in Chinese...
That's out of the discussion from Justin Tadlock, who proposed a shared shortcode & CPT standard (naming) and underlying shared plugins that the user should install.
what does he mean by standard naming?
Ok, actually he didn't even mean standard naming, just a shared plugin that acts as base for themes.
hmm interesting.. shared plugin? you have linkage?
12:51
The standard naming convention is just something I'm currently thinking about. Name a portfolio always portfolio, a slider/carousel always slider, etc
oh.. you mean standard-commonsense convention. ;)
yeah
I often do as you mentioned, portfolio or cpt_portfolio, etc.
I think a prefix would help bring some order to the madness because everyone has a different idea on what they want to call a portfolio...
etc etc...
There're some CPT names that pop up just too often. Standardizing them is imho a real need. The same goes for meta data naming. But imagine "event"...
I pinged Japh on Twitter asking if I could read or even help for their TF conventions/review book, but he said no, thanks :) ...
hmm
Seems like they have it under control anyway... ;)
13:01
absolutely! of course!
I think their convention/review book reads a little something like...
this page was intentionally left blank, this page was intentionally left blank, this page was intentionally left blank, this page was intentionally left blank, this page was intentionally left blank, this page was intentionally left blank ...
...that there be the problem!
Hey @japh this ThemeForest themes doing stripslashes deep on major global variables such as post, get, etc. Not good. http://themeforest.net/item/elegantica-responsive-business-wordpress-theme/2629870
@userabuser :D
actually its probably not even a book, but instead a post-it note.
@userabuser They killed (or temp. removed) that theme. But: It was up for just some days, so there's not much that seems to change.
I saw that yest I think from Rarst... very funny, look at the sales. Nice cash.
13:04
double that
it had 646 sales as of yesterday that theme... prior to being removed.
Should try to sneak some crap in there too. Guess I could write 2 such funny themes per day :P
I'm part way through a horizontal portfolio theme which was initially a client related project that Ive been thinking of putting on TF... wonder to see the results
@kaiser you need to press on your with guidelines domain IMO.
yeah, but need to finish other stuff first. glady some of current stuff will be used there too.
cool... btw fix your jquery? :)

Review actions limits have been changed: after 20 reviews in a given queue, you're done for the day - if you want to continue reviewing, you can switch to a different queue. Limit is doubled for queues with large backlogs.

@userabuser right now at it

@userabuser You welcome :P

@Rarst Ok. Next time: Chuck Norris.

Anyone here use GravityForms
14:34
@Brady yes, though I 'pray' for the day a better alternative arrives
Hey guys! There was this wordpress plugin that re-generates all the featured images. I forgot the name and couldn't search it. I already have all the featured images assigned to posts, just need to re-generate the new sizes for the new theme.

JavaScript is a picky bitch.
@TomJNowell I'm having bad experiences with it already :(
Haha I have the company credit card to buy three SG Tab 2 10.1"
@Brady I've noticed their js for their admin pages isn't very robust
@Brady I do.. (GForms)
it likes to break from version to version
@TomJNowell Well their JS fails for the password Strength on the front end causing the whole form to break
15:48
Agree!!!
function Currency(currency){
from their JS
not namespaced....
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
    jQuery(".ginput_amount, .ginput_donation_amount").bind("change", function(){
        gformFormatPricingField(this);
    });

    jQuery(".ginput_amount, .ginput_donation_amount").each(function(){
        gformFormatPricingField(this);
    });
});
says it all too. duplicating jQuery Selectors
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
    jQuery(".ginput_amount, .ginput_donation_amount").bind("change", function(){
        gformFormatPricingField(this);
    }).trigger("change");
});
^^ could be changed to that

@Brady If you're already suggesting such a change to them, then also throw in a namespace ;)
@kaiser I aint touching it...

'dis_function' and 'dafuq' ? What are we coming to....

Q: Random ID for custom post type

mousesportsI am doing some testing with custom post types. Assume I have various page templates and a custom post type template that share one footer.php file. In the footer, I call do_dis_function() which is simply defined as: function do_dis_function() { global $post; the_ID(); ...

curious - invisible output echo( '<? something ?>' );... why? thinks it's html tag?
hm, code inspection seems to think it's comment, but it's not valid HTML comment, right?
18:39
@Rarst what happens when you remove the <?s
@StephenHarris normal echo?.. :)
that gets echoed to source but it not visible in page
@Rarst ah never mind - thought it was the same thing I came cross the other day...
