Does anyone know how much can I rely on the PDO's "prepared" statements? I'm solely talking about the security of the database itself
e.g. can I simply pass the value of trim ($_POST['input'] ) to a prepared statement?

@JackJohansson I don't think it will do anything more than typecasting, you will still want to process it
and if you're using PDO then you can use the appropriate filter input function instead of $_POST

@TomJNowell Are you referring the PHP's built-in functions like filter_var()? Or does PDO offer its own filtering tools that I'm not aware of?
