my "contribution" challenge for next week is to try to explain to the customizer guy why the partial preview can not work for anything not trivial and that to make it work you basically need to violate both DRY and the core idea that a preview should be of what is actually going to be render on the live site
And this just to try and make him add an API so I will be able to opt-in into the shortcut icon without doing partials
seems like he think that if he will not provide the API themes will have to implement partials
