I don't STOP at WWII. Part of the argument was the distinction between acts of declared war and other acts. WWII was the last time that the US declared war. These are all deaths from undeclared campaigns. Additionally, if declared war was the distinction, ISIS et al. have declared war, so why are deaths caused by them acts of terror?

@DanielGoldman Your sources at the loonie website global research says America has been at war for a long time "America Has Been at War 93% of the Time – 222 out of 239 Years – Since 1776" , then it flips and says that war has not been formally declared like it matters, so which is it, USA was at war or not at war? Comparing the US army to ISIS is saying you don't believe in the states monopoly on violence, this is really easy to prove true.
There are other words for when governments decide to bomb something and calling it a terrorist attack is dumb.
Both. It has been at war for almost all of its existence, but there hasn't been a legally declared war since WWII. The US constitution requires that congress authorize war in order for it to be legal.
First off, I don't. Calling yourself a "state" does not make violence any more valid. But if you're going to use such a demented position, please tell me what ISIS stands for.
18:22
@DanielGoldman calling yourself a state and being a state are two different things, I'm accepting of the laws of any country that I happen to be passing through, this makes my life pretty easy compared to thinking that I can do anything that say a cop could do without repercussions.
18:39
You don't think violence condoned by the state is different to any other violence, I do. I will not be able to convince you otherwise so I guess we are done here. If you want the state will change your mind, just dare to push your boundaries, try to get all the way to a five-star wanted level.
Well now you have to explain what constitutes a valid state before we can move on. Additionally, I just pointed out that the US constitution requires a war to be authorized by congress or it is illegal. I also pointed out that no war has been authorized by congress since WWII.
The states themselves are pretty good at working out if they are valid, usually through that whole monopoly of force thing you don't think matters.
You cannot call ISIS an invalid state and just roll with it. Back up your damn claim.
@DanielGoldman I didn't claim anything about ISIS, my claim is that your answer uses only part of your chosen definition of terrorism so you can point the finger at the USA, "It is both mala prohibita (i.e., crime that is made illegal by legislation) and mala in se (i.e., crime that is inherently immoral or wrong)."
18:54
No, because I pointed out that you need to show that the terrorist organizations are NOT states and that the US has been ILLEGALLY waging war as no war has been authorized since WWII.

Your entire response has been "you're wrong." You have no real counter argument. If you want to continue this discussion as all, then answer the following question: have the war campaigns waged by the US military, post WWII, been legal?
if you included this then you would have to admit violence can sometimes be legal, as in carried out intentionally by a recognized state within their laws.
I'm not the one chopping off pieces of a definition of a word to make my argument
If I included what? Do not use words like "this" or "that" without following the word with whatever it is that you're referencing.

NOW, I ask you once again to answer my question or I will just leave. Have the war campaigns waged by the US military, post WWII, been legal?
@DanielGoldman So if i don't answer that question we are done? Cool. Like I said I will not be able to convince you but the state (The one you live in) can if you push it.
Just process that you refuse to answer a single damn question. Unfortunately I have to maintain a fair degree of civility on this site, but let me just say that you are cracked: you are quite literally mentally ill.

you don't have to be crazy to post here but it helps
