another thing you can do is "suppose this tile is a mine, then what happens" and "suppose this tile is not a mine, then what happens", and you have two pictures of consequences
if the consequences overlap ("tile Y has to be flagged regardless of whether tile X is flagged or mined"), then that's progress
you don't always have to actually draw anything, but it can be helpful if you lose track. my drawings look like the things football commentors draw over plays
hey, would you like to try the new version? it's in a Jar now
it only needs to be wrapped in an .exe and uploaded to steam, but i want to test it for 3-4 more hours. since you suggested a lot of the changes, you're the best other person to take a look
cool. you can bind to anything except pairs of keys, delete, and alt
the PDF is kind of a rough draft, it's not really a "cover all bases" document. I thought instead of a visual guide, I might put up a FAQ
I don't really have the energy to write a full manual right now
I also decided not to allow rebinding of the "do a thing" button, which is still Mouse1, or add any new hotkeys. I want to wait past launch and see if everyone is cool with the UI and keys I have before I add more
I got contacted for a press copy yesterday, so I might get reviewed. Unfortunately, I didn't see the email until like 28 hours after I received it :(
@ASCII-only any major issues with this version (that aren't from the previous version)?
On some of the hex levels they don't quite line up with the center of the column hint number, but that's life. Fighting with pixel-level java text placement is not fun
