Let's just say that some fans are not very pleased with the ending of the last arc because many topics were either forgotten or handed very poorly.

on top of that, some scenes almost look like they are deliberate mockeries of some theories, almost like Oda found some sort of "pride" in doing unexpected things even if that means trashing his own characters.

Considering that some fans on reddit are currently posting comments like "Oda once said in an interview that he would even change the ending of the manga if someone managed to guess what the One Piece is." usually followed by rants like "He is full of spite for his own fans...."

he is sailing pretty dangerous waters right now, so even if the "fans" are wrong he should probably be FAR MORE CAREFUL to not give them more evidences they can use to stir up flames.

Instead... he seem to be doing a far good amount of stupid things in that regard.

I can further elaborate but since this is the anime room it is probably wiser to avoid that here.

@Memor-X if you are interested, it is probably better to create a temp room to keep the "spoilers" there.

@SPArcheon i was listening to SovietWomble and he was talking about something that describes this being related to a video essay he was working on

can't remember if it was the DayZ Stream where he was just perpetually infected or if it was the Arma 3 stream from a few days ago

@Memor-X If I understood what you meant, you are kinda on the right track

issue here is that fans expected something that did not happen, new theories were made, those didn't happen too etc...

Pretty average, if it wasn't for a bunch of koma that almost looked like deliberate mockery of some of those theories, almost to rub salt on the wounds.

Even trying to be completely objective, some do indeed feel quite deliberate because I can't really find a reason to include those otherwise.
