@Hakase kinda. you play though it 3 times, first 2 are the same story from different views but second playthough reveals new information for the third playthough which is new content

the whole mass of endings, most are just gag endings or doing something at a key point in the plot you weren't supposed to do and it just ends the game there

@Hakase well in easy mode you can get a bunch of upgrades which more or less played the game for you in terms of fights so if you just want the story you can play it in easy mode, enable these upgrades and just plow though it

the problem for me is I don't even want to go through the motions of downloading the game, installing it and playing just to see the next cutscene basically

and since idk when the next interesting moment will be, I'm perfectly comfortable watching those "movie edit" playthroughs

no commentary, all useless gameplay portions cut out

@Hakase yeh the problem i have with the souls games is that they are marketed as extremely difficult when what i want is the story and the gameplay to make me feel like it. stress me out too much and it's no longer fun. i do like a challange but how souls is sold makes it seem way too hard for me to enjoy

thing is that a AAA Studio will consider others, just that the jobs everyone wants can't be obtained without AA/A Experience or being a very well known Indie

but the real question which most people forget to ask is do you really want that specific job then

people think "I wanna make cool games" but don't know how the job look like from the inside

and it's super shitty and grueling

of course these AAA companies are looking for people who are prepared for these sacrifices and are good at it already

and yet somehow, for some reason, people still exist/appear who want to work like that

just read/watched some stuff about how lord of the rings production fucked new zealand and their film industry workers' rights

it's basically the same in terms of workforce abuse and romanticizing the soul suckery

and working in major fast food chains is also very similar

and basically every top company in the world, working at the low positions feels very similar

AAA game companies aren't looking for successful indie devs coz they know these indies will instantly understand that this isn't how they like to work and will quit or show terrible performance compared to other poor souls

I'm just mad at how this stuff works

and I'm glad I didn't get ground up in those AAA jobs

I kinda got into QA instead of development for a year but I got out early and saved my sanity

(not gamedev qa, just regular software industry qa)

I must imagine testing games is even worse because it makes you hate games instead of some random app/webservice you can easily forget afterwards

AAA studios know that people would love to work in video games and take advantage of it and work them to the bone, and Konami does the next worse thing in destroying any chance of working anywhere else by making it so that former employees can use them as apart of their career history and try and burn them with other studios

every time I talk to aspiring gamedevs they either don't know anything or "just want to be around games" basically idea-guying all day

actual game devs don't know much on their own most of the time

and it shows in their product :p
