it's always a good thing to check out what is on your HDD sometimes, because i just learned that at some point in time i got 200+ episodes of One Piece, 150+ episodes of Naruto Shippuden and all of Naruto and 100+ episodes of Inuyasha from my brother.
downside is that i can't guarantee any consistent quality with them
now to begin the long process of copying Season 2 of Cardfight Vanguard which i have a bit better confidence in their quality because it's bloody 20 GB
@Memor-X I always downloaded 1080p for the archive copy, and the one with all the extras in. Stopped doing that 1.5 years ago when I moved for my job, and don't plan to restart doing that even when I'm jobless
I'm not sure, but the extras takes up tons of spaces
(BD Box Scan, Extra CDs, perhaps some other related CD albums, and the video must include the commentary track)
@nhahtdh oh i plan to get the DVDs for these ones since i can guarantee any consistent quality with them. i'm only downloading further seasons of Cardfight Vanguard because season one came out like 4 years ago but the other seasons never did so i'm watching the first season on DVD with the subs (it's a dub release so no argument why a Dub release it better) and then watching the fan subs of the rest
@nhahtdh alot of the time i don't look at the commentary tracks if they are in the extras. might check it out when i restart the series

@EarlGrey i'm assuming it's still all japanese since after the PS2 Sony hasn't been enforcing any Region Locking so you buy any Japanese Console game and it'll work fine
@EarlGrey @mirroroftruth it means that if you have a US Console, you can play games that are made in Japan. back with the PS2 (and now with the 3DS) if you brought a console locally you would be forced to get games within a set territory, for me it would be PAL. US was NTSC and Japan was NTSC-J so games like originally .hack//G.U i would need to import a PS2 from the states to play as it was never released in the UK or Australia
currently for the PS3 and PS4 this isn't the case per say. Sony still has Region locking built into the consoles but it's up to the Devs to employ it. currently to my knowledge only Shin Megami Tensei: Persona Arena is the only game to employ region locking and that was due to multiplayer
with the Nintendo Wii there was a program called Freeloader which allowed you to bypass region lock on the Wii but Nintendo patched the Wii to stop it
currently also if you was to buy a US Game for console and wanted DLC you would need to buy the DLC from a US Addressed PSN Account. you couldn't say get Agarest: Generations of War from the states and use your UK Account to buy it's DLC
funny enough despite the stores being separate, DLC from the Aus Store works fine with UK sourced games
region locking generally isn't something you have to worry about on PC unless your using a system like Steam as the ToS forbids using VPNs and Valkyrie Drive Bhikkhuni is still banned from Australia and Germany so if you didn't buy it before you can't get it now
(i brought it from the UK however it's going to be a bitch for me to get DLC for it due to DLC Region Matching and the Vita is a bitch to region swap unlike the PS3/4)
C.C, my current PC cost me like $2k while my PS4 cost me like $400 in terms of games i actually own and not just pay for the permission to download i have way more for the PS4.......also Nier: Automata is still better on console
@EarlGrey errrrrr not alot of japanese games on that. infact i have never seen Idea Factory or NISA sell xbox games and my xbox elusive collection is small as currently it's only Natuo: Rise of a Ninja and Tales of Vesperia. Naruto: the Broken Bond i plan on tracking down next month
also i think i recall reading the XBOne is the worst selling console in japan with it's sales in the very low double digits, as in the japanese hate microsoft consoles
@EarlGrey well it sorta stems for this idea i had for a story collection about a girl, in our world and age, who can personify her things with magic. so when she plays a console that console as another person is sitting next to her. she also personify her figure collection so the eldest of the group is Suigintou from Rozen Maiden who comes from a large plush
@EarlGrey to be honest i'd go for the Playstation as excluding the ones i named any good XBox game you can get on PC anyway like The Witcher and GTA:SA (the ones i named you can only get for the xbox) while there are plenty of playstation games which haven't been released on PC or even work better on console
@Memor-X Yeah, bad luck for you guys. They applied an activation lock on the packages, which completely prevents the game from being bought or activated in Australia or Germany
also my predictions rarely fail me. new Disgaea, Final Fantasy and Tales of gets preference for Playstation, and you have Yakuza which is a kick ass game with a real japanese feel to it
@nhahtdh yeh, not like i'd risk using a VPN just to get it. the issue is apparently one of the DLC which Marvelous said they were going to work on......but that was like last year
so the game is fine (it's not like Omega Labyrinth) so not sure why they couldn't just not have the DLC. NISA did that for PAL regions with Disgaea 2 on the PSP when the Gig DLC kept crashing the game

Made obvious by the english sentence that comes after "get your a** out here!" Sounds Hilarious and i would very much like to find the original, Can anyone recognize where this sound clip comes from?
