How about spending reps for each id request? It's kinda similar to bounty except it doesn't give the reward to the answerer.

From the very start, I have seen id-requests as a source of LQ questions. I seldom open id-requests whenever I'm scanning for questions to answer. Sure there are good id-requests, but those are very rare.

From an answerer's perspective, banning them is a good idea.

Just realized it now, sorry for my ignorance. The privilege to cast close votes is just 500 rep. In SO it's 3k rep so that was quite a high hurdle

Meaning, there are more close-voters here right? Then closing id-requests here is much much faster

@Keale not exactly. remember there is only so many votes that can be cast a day by a single person, for instance i only have 24, it takes 5 different people to close a question (with the exception to the Mod Hammer) and there is like 2000 questions to close. can't really give up every vote to close them because it'll risk other questions which should be closed getting by
