@SeptianPrimadewa yeh but we're not talking about indie games. we're talking about the decision to release Persona 5 on the PS3. i only used steam to point out that PC is way bigger in terms of pirating that a console being able to be modded to play pirated games is a moot point. if Atlus wanted to avoid piracy then they would create Persona 5 so that it required a high end server that contains all the world data that no pirate would be able to replicate and force every player to make a login

but that'll be a dick move for any dev making a single player game

@SeptianPrimadewa it isn't as hard this gen as it was before. A PS3 dev kit back in the day was $8,000, now you can get a PS4 dev kit for free.

there are a ton of indie games on XBox, they've always had a more supportive developer ecosystem

i think it was in one of TotalBiscuit's Content Patches that talked about the dev's experience with releasing Fez on the 360
