@ʞɹɐzǝɹ: true, true. I guess the one thing I wasn't sure of (yesterday, or whenever I asked about the changes) was the specifics of splitting fma-brotherhood and fullmetal-alchemist-manga. A split makes sense---I'm well aware of the discrepancies between all three adaptations. I think though, at the time, I felt like this would "separate" the two adaptations in question a bit too much. (e.g. a lot of FMA:B questions could be answered by someone who read the manga.)

Now though, I'd probably just err on the side of more splitting (at least in the case of FMA).

@Maroon this is understandable and valid. I've observed that questions on the site tend to have a slant towards anime as opposed to manga (in general, popular ongoing mainstream manga are an exception), which is why I prioritized the anime title over the having a split between both of them evenly. Such occurrences like brotherhood are rare, as few adaptations with continuities of an anime get popular enough to warrant their own anime. Thus why I made the decision that I did for the experiment

But I wouldn't advocate splitting monogatari-series, to use an example that feels simple, even though I've heard that the anime omit content. @Maroon I don't believe there's a reason to split them (monogatari series) as long as the story is something continuous, or a drastically different spinoff. Index and Railgun are better candidates for such a split. Although they are are continuous story, their setting are different enough to warrant a split (one focuses on the magic side, while the other the science side). While there is some overlap, it doesn't happen all the time.

as for the link, it's the user posting a link to their question as a comment to another question which really as nothing to do with their question
