that's nice, other than playing lots of FF I've started to try and brush up on my math skills as well as look into some computer science theory and some older stuff about assembly.
indeed it is, I used to know a breeder of blue pit bulls that went for around the same... that guy needed a website.
Idk, I feel like I need to take the uni-aproach(something I totally made up in my mind that not even similar to a college education)
Im in TX, but no, I don't want any pets. theyre cute, but not for me.
but yeah I'm about to start coding, for me I just prefer to be thorough and have a little background before I start, I don't want to get into more complicated ideas and not understand them because I didn't learn the theory behind it all from the get go. But mostly it's just to make me feel slightly more confident in a world I know nothing about.
@ton.yeung also as you are doing, It seems potentially that i should learn some web dev skills for sure, and Im kinda interested in javascript. Is everything really CSS heavy these days, it seemed to be going that way when I last coded some 10 years ago. Either way i think i should start there as well, before or at the same time as i work into higher level languages/scripting.
well i have a doctors appointment I need to be off to, all catch you all later, sorry iv'e been grossly infatuated with a video game here recently..... musssst gettt backk too realllll lifffe
@ton.yeung awesome, I've been building up a 'library' of books im gong to bulk purchase of amazon, and just ingorge myself one day with information, and referance material.
I'm not sure if it's exactly a graduation election, but it's the same principle in any case
In the case of previous beta sites that have had elections (Code Review, Blender, Cryptography, maybe others) the pro tempore mods didn't keep their positions.
What's the process to this then? Is there like a mod olympics with challenges of physical ability and endurance to test who can lead the community through testing times?
the electoral candidates will have to make a platform after nominations and ppl will vote based on that platform
then they will need to raise campaign funds to send out TV ads and posters, make a catchy slogan, and attempt to gather donations from third party NGOs and corporations
they will then have to compete in the primary elections when they go against other candidates of their own party
JNat also has a lot of badges, which is even more impressive considering he only has 8 helpful flags (for obvious reasons). But naturally he won't be running anyway.
I don't plan on running anyway, but if I was I don't think I could increase my score much. I could get 1-2 more points on rep if I really pushed for it, but none of the badges are very close.
