@Eric It takes some getting used to. And it depends on how you use them.

For me:
- Left: SE stuff (SO chat, SO homepage auto-refresh and other SE tabs)
- Top: gmail, non-SE web-browsing, Anime, explorer windows, extra space for header files when I'm only reading them or using for reference
- Right: itunes, Mathematica, remote desktop to my other machines, console windows
- Middle: primary Visual Studio IDE window, gaming, everything else

When I'm doing intensive refactoring of some code, I'll easily have 3 monitors all full of code. (5 files at once, 2 on top, 2 on right, 1 in the middle along with the find/replace box compiler output window)

I would use a 5th on the top-right just to monitor code that is running. (non-interactive stuff) But I don't have enough video-card slots nor do I want to drill another hole in the wall.

I'd also have to move the oreimo poster.

the final interview wasn't even an interview, the guy didn't ask me any questions and it turned out all three of us "candidates" were told the exact same monologue and were all accepted without a definite project starting date

our three month long internship started today and if we show good results (in what?), we'll get a promotion to junior positions

Adding a 5th monitor would be pretty expensive if I add up the costs:
- 27-inch monitor ($230)
- A 3-port video card that can handle 3 x 1080p. (> $100?)
- Another wall mount. ($60)
- And at least an hour to setup.
