well, it is like this: All the stories start at Point A

but from there, they are all different

sometimes people die early and don't matter, sometimes they're the most important people in the story

but most of them are about the same short timespan

well in my opinion Knight Run is the best sci-fi manga.

I can agree that the first chapters might be not that good, but later I just couldn't stop reading it

probably I just like stuff where everything is screwed up but characters overcome it, then it gets worse, side characters start dying but MC is still trying to overcome it.

yeah. for me it's kinda realistic. like how they raid that monster nest in the first chapters and many of the soldiers die.

I don't mind main character deaths that much, but I don't really like it when the reason is "to show that no one has plot armor".

If they're important for character development, like that one dude with the armor in the assassin manga, that's fine.

But that manga went crazy grimdark goreporn, so I dropped it.

Yeah, it got to the point where I didn't even care about any new characters since they were probably going to die in a gruesome manner within 5 chapters.
