What are the reasons Japan's population is falling?

I could literally list 50 reasons that contribute to the population drop, but it mostly has to do with high education, a lack of meaningful inflows through immigration, and certain social phenomena unique to Japan. All countries experience falling birthrates when they industrialize and embrace education -- the Philippines went from 7.5 babies to 3 born per female over the past 40 years for example. So it's largely a normal thing, just most pronounced here.

Linking "JE" to "E" doesn't seem too implausible if I take spelling and translation conventions (e.g. the fact that "J" is often "meant" to indicate what in English is a "Y" sound, e.g. "Jehoshaphat" v.s. "Yehoshafat") into account, I think.

if you have a notebook with a wifi card, you can share internet over wifi to other devices, but the notebook has to be running for that

Use whatever modem they provide. If it happens to be a WiFI router built-in, too, awesome, use that too and see if it is stable enough for your needs. If it's just a modem, or a WiFi-less router, get a router and hook it up.

I never had a router given to me so when I needed to share wifi to my netbook, I bought one

here in the states, ISPs love to lease out modems... kinda like hidden fees

Can you confirm that though? I mean it's kind of a waste to buy your own modem if you get one for free. We basically "lease" them here as well, we have to give them back when we stop the contract, but we don't pay for it.

yeah they do, but sometimes the particular modem they provide you with isn't sufficient enough to reach the speeds you are paying for.

If it's free, it doesn't hurt to try it. If it sucks, it's just a quick run to a store to replace it anyway. OTOH I'm Dutch and apparently we're known to be uhm.. conservative.. about spending money. Take that with a grain of salt :P
