I'm still proposing "The Maid Cafe" simply because it's short and identifies well with the culture. And also because I can't think of anything better that won't rub anyone the wrong way.

It's okay, but kinda bland if you ask me. Maid cafes are par for the course nowadays.

Anyway, you guys know that feeling when you have a post that's just sitting on the border of getting a badge or not, and you're not sure if it'll get the one or two more votes it needs before it disappears forever?

It's 1000 times worse with hats.

With badges, I always just figured "I'll probably get it eventually, or if not, I'll get it with another post". With hats, I could literally miss the hat forever if I don't get it.

Robocop on Math only requires one more review, and it might be possible on Anime as well (I've already finished 4 of 5 queues).

Unicorn hat could be gotten with even a single meta comment upvote, e.g. here.

IG88 will probably happen today unless I get trolled or something ridiculous happens.

Assuming I get @JNat's bounty, that hat is covered as well

I have a pretty strong tumbleweed candidate which will earn the badge on Monday if I'm lucky.

The only ones that need a lot of grinding are the gold badge hat and the 10 questions hat.

And the hat for a meta guru badge, but realistically I've got no chance at that.

There still should be at least 1 more secret hat, but I don't think anyone has it yet so no idea on that front.

@LoganM The one vote there is mine, so can't really help you out there :P

I can't even get a Guru badge on SO without a lot of luck.

On most child meta sites other than MSO, there's literally no chance at a guru badge tho. Plenty of graduated meta sites have never had any.

Some people have suggested that Yeager can be obtained without any posting, but AFAIK the criteria is to answer a question within ~30 minutes of it being posted and get at least a net score of +2 (this can happen well after the 30 minute window)

Anyway I may not exactly understand that one.

It seemed easy to get though.

The fact that it got it within minutes of making a single post did it.

It's probably the 2nd easiest secret hat. The easiest IMO is the 3 hats hat.

Other than the mod hat, which I don't even know how to classify.

There are things with the mod hat that I don't quite get. ofc existing mods get it. But also, old moderators get it, even if they resigned or were removed as mod. It's not tied to the mod badges either. SE employees get it on every site they have a diamond. However, former SE employees don't get it at all. Seems like they had to mess with the logic a bit and it lead to some weird edge cases.

True, but that's because SO's number of incoming questions increased faster than the size of the community of active users. Which is probably true on some level for most sites, but it's really noticeable on SO nowadays.

When 5th Hokage went in coma for weeks, Danzo popped up nominating himself as 6th Hokage, infact he became too.. But years before that when 3rd Hokage deceased the Hokage post was empty for weeks too.. Why didn't Danzo take that chance? Was he aware that Sannins will be given first chance?

@MadaraUchiha The only ones that will require additional work are Mr. Binx (10 questions, all at least +1) and the gold badge hat. I should get IG-88 today if everything goes well. Bounty Hunter is whenever @JNat awards it assuming no one else comes up with a better answer. Lonesome Cowboy (tumbleweed) should happen on Monday. The others are (virtually) impossible or time-limited.

Also, I'm pretty sure there's a secret hat no one has yet discovered. But I have no real idea how to get it.

Also, FWIW, I don't have a chance to pass Manish until at least Monday. I need 5 more hats at the moment to pass him, and barring a secret discovery or a meta guru badge I can't possibly get more than 4 until my Tumbleweed hat comes in. That's also assuming he doesn't gain anything before then.

So practically, if I get into untied 2nd place when IG-88 comes in, I can't possibly do any better than that over this weekend in terms of rankings.
