If you want to do it in pandas, you want DataFrame.drop_duplicates(subset=None, keep='first', inplace=False) – maybe inplace=True to throw away the old data frame, maybe subset=["ProductID", "ProductName"] if those have to be unique, but you want to take the first price listed.
