This was one of the more interesting FFFs:
Agreed!
I noticed that fluid flow through junctions problem last week. I had a couple consumers and one of them was taking all of the oil so I put in a pump (controlled by the circuit network) to even it out. Also, that contamination of existing pipes thing is so annoying. Definitely looking forward to a fix for that.

I have achieved life goals - my wife and I took today off to play Shadow of the Tomb Raider
2
Sounds fantastic.
I've recently been playing through Borderlands 2 again. Forgot how much I love that game
16:33
@Mego I'm out of "sick days" or I would've done something similar, hehe.
I never got through any of the Borderlands games. I wound up getting bored with them, which is rather frustrating.
So what you're saying is...
It's the borederlands?

I like how there are 3/5 of the people in this room starred that message
Wow, flashback to my old MS paint avatar and tiny phone resolution
16:43
Bahahaha I remember learning about that way back.
@AdmBorkBork I see four active avatars and two inactive. So really, all of the people that could star that message did. (Mego being able to cheat by pinning and then unpinning his message doesn't count.)

Unrelated: I wish it was possible to replant trees in Factorio. They're good for absorbing pollution.
I bet there's a mod for that
It wouldn't surprise me. All the same, I prefer sticking with the vanilla game (for now - the Recursive Blueprints mod looks really interesting to me).
Oh yeah, have you seen the self-building factory? I think it was called "Grey Goo"
Anonymous
One of Bobs mods has a greenhouse building
@DJMcMayhem Yep, very impressive. And the 9x14 factory that produces 1000 science in 80 hours.
17:16
Oh that's cool
@El'endiaStarman Is that a crazy amount or something? I've played a couple hours of Factorio, but I don't get into the minutiae of optimization
If you like seeing someone push factorio to the limits of what it can do, this channel is amazing:
@AdmBorkBork It's not a crazy amount, but for a tiny area and fully automated it's pretty amazing

@AdmBorkBork 1k science per minute is typically what people consider a megafactory. Doing enough in a 9x14 space to make 1k science per 80 hours is really good
@AdmBorkBork 1000 of any science is a respectable achievement. It also includes a rocket launch, which takes a lot of effort. And then all that in a 9x14 grid (there's a ton of construction/logistic robot usage).
@El'endiaStarman Plunk down 4800 of those and you've got yourself a megabase :P
17:36
@El'endiaStarman I remember when this was super popular
I loved watching the micro factories
...that looks like the one that uses recursive blueprints, right?
Yep, recursive blueprints.
I tried to make one myself using bots but no blueprints
I think I just got bored :P
oooh, I also remember there was a competition for how fast you could make a moving base
Aka, use recursive blueprints to pick up your base and place it down further
17:54
Moving bases? Just because, or is there a practical reason to doing so?
Just because :)
Like most of the best things in life.
you've seen the self-replicating base though, right?
No Tube of You at work, sadly. I'll have to catch it later.
