I think TPT switching to XoroShiro128+ was a rather smart choice. GCC optimized the randomizer's tick function down to a mere 15 x86 operations
all low level xor's mov's ror's and shl's
If state was passed in register, it'd be even smaller lel

XoroShiro128+ is a RNG algorithm. Notable for being extremely simple and tiny
i compiled it with --native, it got even smaller. wew. 14 vs 15
It also just introduced me to an instruction i've never heard of
RORX
I think Xor and Rotate Right in one instruction would be a bit more useful than Rotate right logical without affecting flags

I figured out how to remove my hook, but it was really complicated, and so I'm not really sure if that was the intended solution to this level
