It looks like there has been a UI change when clicking on the "latest activity" link to a post on the Home page.
On the Mathematics Meta Home page, I clicked on the link on "modified 3 hours ago" which points to the latest activity on the post Requests for Reopen & Undeletion Votes (volume 01/2021 - today) by User Gerry Myerson.
Then, I received a popup banner at the top of the page saying, "The linked answer is gone from this page."
As best as I can remember, the earlier UI was such that clicking on the "latest activity" link to a post would act as if one had just clicked on the question itself whenever the latest activity points to a deleted post.
I vaguely recall reading some post on Meta Stack Exchange about the earlier behaviour of the UI, but I can't track it down now.
Hmm, a cursory search brought up many or posts on Meta Stack Exchange about the latest activity not pointing to the actual latest activity, but no posts asking for a modification of the UI. Perhaps I misremembered...
In any case, the new popup banner is a welcome change, in my opinion. The banner could definitely receive better padding, though. (I'm fairly sure that this banner indeed is new, but I would be happy to be corrected on that if I'm mistaken.)
