I just hate that tag and think that it should be eliminated.
@XanderHenderson Something related to the issue that such questions might be disallowed at some point was mentioned in the past on meta: What do you think is the largest problem facing Math.SE today (July 2015)?

Asaf KaragilaSolution verification and proof critique. This is something I go back and forth with. On the one hand, we should encourage people to post their own proofs, and it is a good thing when you can post a proof, and knowledgeable people will read it and comment. But (1) this has very little archival ...

I am not sure whether there was some extensive discussion about this since then.
And I have some doubts whether suggestions to forbid such questions would gain enough support.

I hope to return to this . . .

Lately I've been thinking of asking on here every single exercise of Magnus et al's book on combinatorial group theory. There's a good few hundred of them and they're very detailed, but I'm doing a PhD in the area and I'd like a firm grasp of the subject. It'd take a long time and I've already asked a handful. What do you think?
I've done (just about) every exercise in Gallian up to the middle of Section 8, during a break for my health . . .
It's an unrealistic goal, especially since I'm doing a PhD, right?
I'd also like to return to topos theory and semigroup theory. There's a lovely looking paper I can't find about the classifying topoi of inverse semigroups that I'd like to read.
(Okay, nevermind; I found it.)
I should be talking to my supervisor really . . .

@MartinSleziak I am quite certain that there is no real support for elimination of that tag, which is why I haven't brought it up on meta. I think that it is a very problematic tag, but it is also a popular tag.
