> The Trump campaign is about retribution and revenge. It is about the white supremacist desire to purge America of all their neighbors of different colors and beliefs. It is about Trump’s desire to seek out his enemies and punish them. And over the course of its Wagnerian length (and resonances) it single out group after group that would be deported or punished.
> From a political perspective the strategy is pure suicide. The rally will almost certainly alienate more voters who might have voted for Trump and it is hard to imagine it has earned him one single new vote. It was a play to the base when the biggest problem Trump has in this election is breaking through his rock solid ceiling of around 47 percent of the electorate.
> That is why Trump’s Sunday rally at Madison Square Garden was, as it turned out, far more ominous than its predecessor. It should chill Americans to the bone. But, I expect it will do more than that. I believe it will mobilize more voters to take action on Nov. 5 to stop the 21st-century fascism of Trump and MAGA.
> In the end, because what unfolded was so foul and so offensive and threatening to so many of us, I believe that is why we will someday conclude that for all intents and purposes Trump’s final political act occurred on the biggest stage in America’s biggest city, a couple of blocks from Broadway.

> With just over a week before U.S. election day, speakers labelled Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage," called Democratic nominee Kamala Harris "the Antichrist," and likened her to a prostitute.
From that trump rally

Fox news is such hot garbage
Pathetic.
And yet that's the alternate reality half of America is living.
How come out of nowhere you choose a non-swing state and that very same place where the German American Bunds held the infamous Nazi rally? Not a coincidence. Not at all.
Stephen Miller echoed the infamous Fritz Kuhn in the 1939 rally.
Fritz Julius Kuhn (May 15, 1896 – December 14, 1951) was a German Nazi activist who served as the elected leader of the German American Bund, a German-American Nazi organization before World War II. He became a naturalized United States citizen in 1934, though his citizenship was revoked in 1943 owing to his status as a foreign agent of Nazi Germany. Kuhn served prison time for larceny and forgery from 1939 to 1943 and, upon release, was immediately interned by the federal government as an enemy agent. He was deported in 1945 and later served further prison time in post-war Germany before dying...
> Prof. Daniel Kanstroom, an immigration law expert and author of the book Deportation Nation, said on the radio program On Point that “there really is no way to implement this kind of massive program without creating what amounts to a police state.”

> This was not just a presidential rally. This was not just a campaign rally. These are mini-January 6 rallies. These are mini-stop-the-steal rallies. These are rallies to prime an electorate into rejecting the results of an election if it doesn’t go the way that they want.
> That is what they mean, and that is what they are doing when they are inciting violence and hatred against Latinos, against Black Americans, against Americans who don’t have children.

We have to understand how unhinged this campaign has gotten, and the only reason the rhetoric has gotten this far is precisely because they’re trying to prime the kind of froth that led up to the January 6 on the capitol. It’s important we connect those dots.

Finally
> The district attorney’s office in Philadelphia filed a lawsuit Monday seeking to shut down billionaire Elon Musk’s controversial $1m giveaways to voters in Pennsylvania and other swing states, calling the gimmick “an illegal lottery”.
> America PAC and Elon Musk are running an illegal lottery in Philadelphia (as well as throughout Pennsylvania),” Krasner said in a statement.

They were, he added: “lulling Philadelphia citizens – and others in the Commonwealth (and other swing states in the upcoming election) – to give up their personal identifying information and make a political pledge in exchange for the chance to win $1m. That is a lottery.”

But, the damage has already been done.
Add another court case result that depends on the outcome of the election.
Hm
> A key ally to former President Donald Trump detailed plans to deploy the military in response to domestic unrest, defund the Environmental Protection Agency and put career civil servants “in trauma” in a series of previously unreported speeches that provide a sweeping vision for a second Trump term.
> He said the plans are a response to a “Marxist takeover” of the country; likened the moment to 1776 and 1860, when the country was at war or on the brink of it; and said the timing of Trump’s candidacy was a “gift of God.”
Marx is laughing in his grave.
Trump did vow to come after his enemies if elected.

He's using old bullying tricks.
@think_meaning_builds bullying is a weak word here.
He is following the rhetoric of fascism religiously.
It worked in the past.
How dumb you can be to see all the red flags here? This is pathetic.
Nothing seems to sway these MAGA Red Hats.
Red hat red necks.

The Proud Boys have decided to die for their leader.
In case, their leader doesn't win, they could storm the Capitol again.
And again, and again; until they get what they want.
These kind of bullies never back down.
