@Fredy31 Actually, I just looked up the punishments for "opzettelijke slagen en verwondingen met arbeidsongeschiktheid tot gevolg" (which is the type of assault and battery he's charged with), and "diefstal". The former can get up to 2 years in jail and 200 EUR fine, the latter up to 5 years and 500 EUR fine. Even attempted theft gets you up to 3 years and 300 EUR fine

Panic is not a recipe for rational outcomes :P
