> Albuquerque is not the only city attempting to collect outstanding debts from the Trump campaign. City officials in El Paso, Texas, said in November that they are hiring legal counsel in their fight to obtain more than half a million dollars stemming from a February 2019 rally.
@Wipqozn On the subject of life sentences for juveniles, my opinion is colored by my experiences. I adamantly oppose life sentences with no possibility of parole for juveniles. However, I would also oppose automatic leniency.
I can't believe it's been almost 14 years, it feels like yesterday that my friend was murdered.
It was a case of domestic violence. I knew he was going to kill her, I just didn't expect it to happen so fast. I tried to stop it.
During the investigation of that murder it was revealed that Frank Adams had murdered before, at the age of 16. As was always the way in Alaska at that time, he was sentenced to juvie until his 21st birthday.
During the trial for my friend's murder, it came out that the staff at the juvenile detention center was not okay with releasing Frank. They strongly believed that he was very much a danger to society. Obviously, they were right.
