@Wipqozn what level of education is a college degree? like when i think college degree here in Australia i think Secondary School which is required up to Year 10 which you get a certificate and can drop out if you're going to get a trade apprenticeship or you go on for 2 more years to get the state High School Certificate (Victoria it's Victorian Certificate of Education)

@Memor-X So after high school. Aka something that's optional, and taken after age 18.
aka I hopefully that translates to your country?
Which I think is Australia

@Wipqozn so that would be a University Degree, i think lowest is Certificate IV in [MAJOR] but most go to Diploma

@Memor-X yeah, basically

> New York City is one of three places that "have permitted violence and destruction of property to persist and have refused to undertake reasonable measures to counteract criminal activities," leading to its designation as an "anarchist jurisdiction," the Justice Department said Monday.
> Trump's order gives the director of the Office of Management and Budget 30 days to issue guidance to federal agencies on restricting eligibility for federal grants for the cities on the DOJ list. Such grants make up a huge portion of NYC's already strapped annual budget -- more than $7 billion in fiscal 2021 alone, or 7.5% of the city's projected total revenue.
Couldn't find an appropriate GIF for advancing authoritarianism, so I'll just repeat this:

We anticipate an uptick in state and fascist violence after november 3 yeah
I suppose listing two things up there is redundant but whatever

I'm honestly not sure what Trump will be scarier post nov 3. A winning trump or a losing Trump.

@Wipqozn a losing Trump claiming the win

Which is exactly what he'll if he loses
I mean he won't lose
The GOP have been trying harder than usual to rig the election
so I fully expect a Trump victory

A winning Trump because with a losing Trump it'll be over next year. A losing Trump that manages to get the courts to declare him winner would be the worst

1:49 PM
@MadScientist If it needs to go through the supreme court then I'm sure it's exactly what will happen

If the polls are roughly correct, Biden might have enough margin that cheating won't be enough

We expect to see the results of a law and order candidate winning.
There's two of them after all

> After 38 years, Irish-American billionaire Chuck Feeney reached his lifetime goal of wanting to give away his entire $8 billion fortune.
The time it took him to give away that money speaks volumes to just how ridiculous that amount of money is.
Meanwhile, in Bezos land, he's richer than ever.

6:45 PM
Folks you ever wanted to get a gig economy job uhh checks notes evicting people?

@Wipqozn I think part of it is also that if you have that much money to give away, you need to choose your charitable donation targets well. You can't just donate all 8 billion dollars to, say, that one chef who goes to every disaster to setup emergency kitchens

No, no one? Hmmm

I mean, you could, but chances are they would be totally overwhelmed by the massive influx of money and be unable to handle it properly

Quite disturbing that we have to cast the same side-eye on info coming out of CDC as we do for info coming out of the White House

> The Civvl app lacks the high-profile Cameos from Ice-T or Omarosa. In negative reviews in the Google Play and App Store, users complain about a hidden $35 enrollment fee to access the platform, and a lack of work once signed up.
This is so many layers of shitty
like it's also just a scam
> At the time of writing, Civvl and OnQall did not return requests for comment, but did appear to block the author's IP address from visiting OnQall.com.
Toss them all in jail, holy shit. This is shady as fuck. They're very obviously committing crimes.

7:16 PM
@Memor-X College in the U.S. is like university in commonwealth countries
@BradC Not even one California city made it on the list? Cali needs to do better.

7:30 PM
@Wipqozn Someone should hack their sites first. I'm surprised that has yet to happen.

Kelly Loeffler is claiming to be more conservative than Attila the Hun in an ad

what does that even mean

I think she mostly just wanted to say she wants to kill liberals like a warlord but it seems like she could have, you know, picked any of the many better examples

@TimStone Maybe she actually does mean more raping and pillaging

Yeah it's just weird because I don't think Attila the Hun was known for insider trading, her most tangible skill

@Stormblessed ????

9:07 PM
@TimStone Yeah, sorry that didn't work. Canada will try better next time.

@TimStone That dude himself is Tibetan. Sigh

Pretty understatedly described as a wild document:
> Felony collective punishment for anyone who attends a protest where property is damaged, while vehicular murder or manslaughter is effectively legalized. Plus if your city council acts to reduce the police budget, the state defunds everything.
Quote of the day by Monica Lewinsky:
> just realized i am more scared of our government now than i was in 1998.
and that’s saying a lot.
A. LOT.

10:06 PM
Like I said there's going to be an uptick in state sanctioned violence

10:49 PM
@BradC Context behind 1998?
@BradC and also
> Florida’
Of course it's Florida
The surefire sign of how terrible all these politicians are is their response to "people are protesting police violence" is "We should toss them all in jail, and give citizens the right to murder them."
The government and polices response to the protests has proved just how necessary the protests are.
It also proves that protests won't really do anything, since it's the US government seems quite content to just start executing anyone for protesting.
Protests only work if your government and law enforcement isn't completely corrupt and beyond repair.
Although ironically the people with the firearms to oppose the governments are the ones that support it's brutality and oppression.
Almost as if they never wanted those weapons to protect themselves from the government going corrupt at all, and instead just wanted to shoot non-whites with them.

> Feeney has been making secret donations to charities, universities, and institutions worldwide under his foundation, Atlantic Philanthropies, for decades.
meanwhile, the rest want the world to know when they donate for obviously selfish reasons
"I AM DONATING 8 BILLION TO CHARITIES!" *looks at IRS*
but ofcause double edge sword in that if they do it in secret then we shouldn't know anything and still see them as parasites

> Feds intercepted protesters' phone communications in Portland this summer, intel sources with knowledge of the operation tell me.

End-to-end encryption (E2EE) is a system of communication where only the communicating users can read the messages. In principle, it prevents potential eavesdroppers – including telecom providers, Internet providers, and even the provider of the communication service – from being able to access the cryptographic keys needed to decrypt the conversation.In many messaging systems, including email and many chat networks, messages pass through intermediaries and are stored by a third party, from which they are retrieved by the recipient. Even if the messages are encrypted, they are only encrypted 'in...

@Wipqozn I assume she's referring to when her sexual relationship with Bill Clinton became public knowledge
