@Unionhawk very shocked that Steve King is supporting the DSA

This is a relevant reply because that rule applies to dsa

Checks out

I mostly just don't want to get a "news?" reply when I am Doing A Joke

Ever used evite? If so, sorry!
lmao
It's certainly possible they were trying to cover their tracks but if you gotta play the tape backwards to definitively paint the scenario it kind of loses its value absent other information
Oh no I have just seen the DC McAllister post and someone needs to revoke her Poster's License

Classic Mitch McConnell, subverting democracy
@TimStone Incidentally someone floated the idea that maybe the Saudis did it to provoke a war against Iran, which seems a little crazy but so does luring a guy into an embassy and chopping him up with a bone saw so

> "The president's directive, as he said, [it's] a case by case basis. He said he would likely do both: Listen to what they have to say, but also report it to the FBI," McEnany said.

4:39 AM
@Wipqozn Honestly never heard of them
Probably not

user15026
@TimStone this doesn't surprise me

Like the whole idea of foldable phone tech just seems...not ready yet like at all

Yeah, there was some thought that it was mostly just a status symbol for people who don't care about effectively wasting $2000 on an item with a super short lifespan but like…you gotta at least deliver it then, heh

@Ash well the size of phones have been reversing where at first we got smaller and smaller phone, then we got the iPhone and been eccepting it getting bigger and bigger

1 hour later…

2 hours later…
8:27 AM
@Memor-X I think it started as a case of "We have all this fancy technology and we can make it super small now! Look at the status symbol of having the newest and smallest thing!", then people started realizing that it can be useful to have it be bigger

2 hours later…
10:36 AM
@Kevin until it gets too big for your pockets

@Kevin Wait, let me see if I can find the perfect image for this
But seriously, once phones became powerful enough to be able to watch video on them and meaningfully able to browse the Internet due to ubiquitous high speed 3-4G connections and wifi, we started making screens larger again

@Nzall and then we got to the point that to make the screen bigger we had to have the phone bigger too
and the screen gets bigger and bigger until "hey, if we could fold the screen into out pocket, we can double the screen size"

11:34 AM
@GnomeSlice I'm just quoting their tagline, right below their name.

3 hours later…
3:08 PM
No, no ulterior motive at all, on the US' part, in blaming Iran for the attack. Why do you ask?

@GnomeSlice I know this is a truly radical idea, but bear with me... perhaps don't post things from sources you've never heard of. Crazy, right?
Since you're not willing to take even 2 seconds to review a site's tagline.

4:09 PM
In the category of "problems I sincerely hope will not be relevant when the time comes":

4:23 PM
lmao, wtf?
BB&T and SunTrust have rebranded as part of their merge, to…Truist

@BradC I mean, yes, that's quite a bit far off.
Gotta love it when presidential campaigns start before the previous term even begins.
Or even before the term before the previous term even ends.

4:37 PM
Maybe Warren can finish the entirety of the Orange group off single handedly so we can get things down to size

I got an email from someone asking if I'd be willing to help organize a debate watch party and I'm not sure how to tactfully reply "extremely no, I do not want this"

You should do a flag day celebration instead ([insert dril tweet])

somebody finally let him do it
If you are able to parse those words I am diagnosing you with terminal Online

5:59 PM
@Unionhawk update: they apparently got the thing organized themselves which whatever no I am not going downtown to watch this shit lol

I dunno watching de Blasio strangle another groundhog with his bare hands on stage will be pretty wild

Raptors Executive Accused of Pushing, Hitting Deputy at NBA Finals nbcbayarea.com/news/local/…
> The incident occurred moments after the Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors to give Canada its first-ever NBA championship. Sheriff's officials said the deputy denied the executive access to the court because he didn't have proper credentials.
> Video of the aftermath of the alleged incident shows a man pleading and stopping deputies from getting to the executive, who eventually gets onto the court for the championship ceremony after Raptors player Kyle Lowry pulls him from the crowd.
> Deputies are calling the incident a misdemeanor battery on an officer and they, along with the Oakland Police Department, are investigating the matter.
> "We can confirm our deputy was pushed and struck by a Raptors executive after he asked him for his credentials to go on the court at the end of the game," Sgt. Ray Kelly with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office said in a statement. "We are working with the Oakland Police Department to file a report and contact witnesses and review video."
Are police officers basketball security now?

@Wipqozn That might be only way to get them to protect minorities.

great googly moogly

7:52 PM
@BradC Is Flag Day one of those Cold War patriotic days meant to unite the free world against "dem dirty commies"?

(shrug)
In the United States, Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. The United States Army also celebrates the U.S. Army birthday on this date; Congress adopted "the American continental army" after reaching a consensus position in the Committee of the Whole on June 14, 1775.In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day; on August 3, 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress. Flag Day is not an official...
Not even an official US holiday, actually

8:15 PM
Shilling their book, but wow, I can't describe all the ways I dislike and disagree with this piece: WE KNOW THE REAL DONALD TRUMP. AMERICA NEEDS FOUR MORE YEARS
> No President in history has taken a bigger financial hit by occupying the Oval Office than Donald J. Trump. The cost to him personally, and to his company in general, is astonishing and amounts to hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars in lost opportunities both at home and abroad; all of which is down to self-imposed regulation. And remember, he doesn't even take a salary.
> But he does it willingly and happily, because he wants to be the man who gets America back on track. He knows he can make a difference and he knows he can get things done. That's why he gave up his seat in Trump Tower and that's why the people of America put him in the White House.

@BradC you'renotsupposedtohugtheflag
But then again, we're perfectly okay with wearing flag underwear so whatever.

8:33 PM
@Yuuki For some definition of "perfectly ok", maybe. But you probably wouldn't expect the official White House twitter account to tweet out a picture of someone in flag underwear.
Something to look forward to, maybe

Well, I personally don't give a fig how anyone treats the flag.

8:50 PM
Okay, smart bulbs are cool

@SaintWacko They are cool theoretically but then the company goes under and you can't control them anymore and they suck.

@puzzlepiece87 If they rely on a cloud service, sure

8:58 PM
@SaintWacko Ah, did you find a brand that doesn't? Good.
I also don't like them because they're one more attack surface, but not everyone is as paranoid as me.

I don't use them because a good part of exercise is turning off the kitchen lights and then sprinting up the stairs before the monster gets me.

@Yuuki See, that's why I'm wanting it
I can get a glass of water at night and then, rather than turning the kitchen light off and then fumbling my way to the bedroom at night
I can stroll back to the bedroom and then tell google to turn the lights off

lol the DoJ is making the same absurd legal opinion about why the Treasury Department doesn't have to hand over his return information as his private lawyers have attempted unsuccessfully to make too

@puzzlepiece87 I haven't tried it, but I think they'll still work offline. They're the Osram Lightify

@TimStone no

I regret to inform you

Good news is that you'll probably see some Whataburgers outside of Texas (and Oklahoma) now.
Bad news is that they'll all be terrible.
Tried to find some more info on the firm and I found this incredibly helpful news article.
> Things To Know About The Firm That Bought Whataburger
> Not much is known about the firm.
Thanks.

Always reassuring

9:53 PM
@Yuuki helpful news article of the day
Have a great weekend everyone
And don't worry,
everything is fine

10:34 PM
Laura Loomer is fundraising off being sent the Navy SEAL copypasta, lmao
I don't know if it would be more sad if she made it up or if she didn't recognize it despite being such an online person she handcuffed herself to one (1) Twitter HQ door
