Georgia’s GOP House Speaker is reportedly running a lucrative racket with his criminal law practice and elected office—getting all his cases continued indefinitely (on account of his legislative duties) and keeping his clients out, pretrial, for years. https://www.ajc.com/news/state--regional-govt--politics/justice-delayed/nJmIsk5XIHQ8LePmBRLPQI/
Seems uhhhh, bad 🤔

Bread is making a comeback, embraced by home bakers, restaurateurs, and science-minded hobbyists entranced by the mesmerizing intricacies of sourdough culture: http://nyer.cm/PNYcPHY
🤔

5:00 PM
Was there a time when people were not eating bread? How is it a comeback if it never left?

5:11 PM
I too am confused on this point
As I have not toned down my consumption of bread 🤔

"Father at centre of measles outbreak didn't vaccinate children due to autism fears" by @helloryanjones @CBCHealth https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/father-vancouver-measles-outbreak-1.5022891 #vaccineswork Depressing example of the power of conspiracy theories to create hesitancy. Really infuriating that this myth lives on.

@GodEmperorDune that's kinda where I am confused too!

@Ash maybe it’s a “people stopped baking bread at home” thing?

7:05 PM
The tweet kind of oversimplified the article, tbf
In which BdB says he told Amazon to do a bunch of stuff he himself could have done but didn't https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/16/opinion/amazon-new-york-bill-de-blasio.html

Ex-Maine Gov. Paul LePage and his staff paid for more than 40 rooms at Trump's D.C. Hotel during a two-year period, spending at least $22,000 in taxpayer dollars. Docs show the LePage admin paid anywhere from $362 to more than $1,100 a night for rooms. https://www.pressherald.com/2019/02/17/maine-paid-for-40-rooms-at-trump-hotel-for-lepage-staff/

Significant response to report of vehicle on fire, body found in Ravens Stasium parking lot. Details unconfirmed
(some more details in thread)

@Wipqozn kinda rude to just leave customers stranded
@TimStone the grifts with these people are not even that creative anymore
@TimStone jeez what a mess

9:32 PM
@GodEmperorDune Kind of completely fucked tbh

@GodEmperorDune the company doesn't really have a choice when they're bankrupt

@Wipqozn love the "call your credit card for a chargeback cause we're not gonna give it"

@MadScientist tbh that's no excuse at all. The execs don't just wake up one day and realize they're bankrupt. They'll have known it was coming for a while now. They should have announced this a month ago and said all flights a month from now are cancelled.

@Wipqozn there's often still hope for additional finances, so you can't know for sure. The real solution is a mandatory insurance for this case

@MadScientist I'd be fine with that

Tekashi 6ix9ine Set To Receive No Jail Time & Witness Protection With Full Cooperation https://hhdx.co/2SbxhaM
Somewhere a witness protection agent is aggressively rubbing their temples

@TimStone i dunno how someone with such a specific, distinct look and personality is going to stay in witness protection
i guess wait for another weird rapper to show up in a few months

tbf the tweet is a little misleading in that he has the option of witness protection

So it's possible no one's considered the logistics yet
But I assume they'll uhh...just...retattoo that 9 to an 8
"No no, I'm not 6ix9ine, that's a 68"
Foolproof

he's kinda screwed either way
its already public that he cooperated

10:03 PM
Yeah

maybe he'll rap about how cool it is to turn states' evidence and find a new audience

Probably an audience of a few bullets tbh :/
The moral of the story is pretty much just don't put hits out on people and definitely don't be the kind of person who lets themselves get recorded discussing putting a hit out on people
Not a lot of sensibility in all of that

11:00 PM
@TimStone Disguise can be really good. The question isn’t about whether they (the FBI) can hide him, it’d be whether he can keep himself hidden.

lol
