Chris is being optimistic. The democratic guardrails failed. There will be less "adults" in Trump 2.0. In fact, even in their presence he has done enough damage
And no that other half is unfortunately unsalvageable. Most of them are fuelled by their inner rabid nativist instinct. Trump and his minions only galvanized that.
Till there are propaganda and barrage of misinformation and fear mongering aka Fox and other right wing ecosystem, this country will remain vulnerable and ultra polarized.
