@Unionhawk this is a replacement/improvement for manual contact tracing. So instead (or in addition to) public health officials talking to confirmed infected people and tracing their contacts for the last 14 days, you can automatically notify all contacts (within the technical limitations) automatically. The result is not treatment in either case

For all contacts it's self-quarantine if they have no symptoms, and requesting a test and talking to healthcare providers if you have symptoms

The self-quarantine alone is the part that if it works efficiently enough could drastically limit the spread of the virus without needing to lock down everything
