Let's say you do successfully surprise your opponent and they are chasing your teammate at full speed without looking where they are going (they're looking at your teammate). In that case the collision can be quite violent.

If the game was contentious, there could have been a simultaneous shove from black guy (half-protective of self, half-take that) involved, but this is basketball. It won't happen if white guy watches where he's going.

Quibbling a bit, but the entire point of a screen is that the white guy is too focused on defending and doesn't look where he's going.
