Q: Figuring out feelings from a enby person

Amarylis VaselaarSo,there's this enby in my college.Lets call them V I texted them prior about competitons and social events,but nothing in the lieu of friendship. Recently, I have become close friends with another enby ( let's call them R) So,R and V are very close friends. And I connected and related to R first...

@ExtrovertedMainMan "Enby"?

@Sarov non-binary

But how... Are they doing phonetics for the letter 'N' then a shortened form of 'binary'? That's just weird.
Or is it supposed to be pronounced enbee and people just got lazy spelling it?

@Sarov just roll with it ._.

Also, morning.

I think part of it was folks being tired of explaining it

2:07 PM
@JourneymanGeek I mean, okay. But I still dunno how it's supposed to be pronounced. :P

As its written
and if you're wrong, and someone corrects you, follow that

So en-bye? Eh, I guess.
Kinda smacks of willful ignorance to me to not care about pronunciation, but.
So, how are you today?

@Sarov My dad used to mispronounce salad...

As... what...?

s-ah-lahd
as opposed to seh-led
THis is why I prefer text for anything but dogs

2:26 PM
@Sarov "nb"
The first litters of "non" and "binary". It's pronounced like saying the letters "nb" out loud.

(also, Having a wierd accent helps, and the folks who have attended a CM video meet can attest to!)

@Mithical Ahkay. Thank ye.

:59693442 Well, that's interesting - I have 2 names across SE. One for the performance related sites, and one for the rest. I wonder why it has switched me to this one

I'll blame caching

@Tinkeringbell going to go and see if my chat parent has been moved

@RoryAlsop Oh, it's a problem forest has from time to time too...

and look - it's back

Something with... Comments being moved to chat iirc

3:47 PM
(I did nothing)
definitely caching

That's doubly weird. I thought I was finally observably going nuts for a bit XD

@Tinkeringbell Ahh - I did do that on Music, where I am the Doktor
I'll have a wee look on meta to see if there is a good post on it

chat.meta.stackexchange.com/transcript/89?m=7689514#7689514 that's the chat with forest I remembered. Dunno if they made a post back then.
They did!

Q: Bug causing profile picture to change when moving comments to chat

forest distrusts StackExchangeI have a profile picture set on site A, and a different profile picture on site B. Site A is my default parent site, so it's the one that should show in all chat windows. However the image changes to that of site B when I click "automatically move comments to chat" on an answer's comment thread. ...

Posted a bit further down :)

That sounds spot on - thank you for that
I see there is no fix as yet
oh well
brief amusement / confusion

Hah, yeah.
@Spagirl See the post and policy on old answers and backup here to understand why your comments are deleted as no longer needed.
I appreciate the enthusiasm in digging up old content to moderate, but do remember to apply your efforts to all answers to a post if you can, and to respect the cutoff date in that meta post I linked.
So the new answer to that old question would be a good candidate for the kind of moderation that you're doing, while the older ones can all be left alone, or flagged for post notices.
I'll ask the other mods to see about putting up the post notices that meta post mentions.

4:19 PM
@Tinkeringbell I didn't 'dig it up' it was 'active' already. I didn't realise it was old one. That said I have had moderators ask me to edit older answers.

@Spagirl Yeah I noticed the 16 hour old answer that made it active. Dig up probably isn't the word I was looking for then... Just do take note of that meta and post timestamps next time. If you believe posts of yours from before that date were later deleted while they should've gotten a post notice instead, flag them
We can take a look

@Tinkeringbell Oh don't worry, you are.

4:52 PM
@Sarov Good, good :)
I try to make it show :P

Maybe try adding more screaming, though.

5:03 PM
I'll put it on the list :P

2 hours later…
6:40 PM
You have a list?

You don't?

Do I have a list of what you can do to be more observably nuts?
Of course I do.

7:00 PM
See. Having a list is perfectly normal

For me.

Well you can't do something yourself and call it normal, then proclaim it's not normal if others do it too :P

I mean. Yes I can? That's normal. I do it all the time. :P

7:17 PM
Yeah, that's true. That's definitely normal to you :P

Yes. It is objectively normal.
Glad we agree.

7:35 PM
How do you know I didn't just agree to disagree?

Because I trust that you're better than that. :D

WRONG!

No, I do.

8:25 PM
Never do that. You're warned

Never trust you?

Yep :)

8:56 PM
TOO LATE.

1 hour later…
10:19 PM
@Sarov BUT DO YOU CHECK IT TWICE?
