Programming horror story of the morning comes from what I was doing yesterday afternoon. We run our code locally in containers because in production it's deployed to kubernetes. I was working inside the container running on my local machine yesterday and had the need to edit some files. As it turns out, there are no text editors installed in our container, so I found myself editing with sed and checking that my edits were correct by using cat to print full files to the command line

@Tinkeringbell Don't know about that, but it's a very nice answer anyway :)

@Rainbacon Ouch, I already find it painful when I have to use vim to edit file, but this is next level x)

@Ælis Fortunately for me, a lot of the sed commands are similar to vim commands, and I do use vim, so it wasn't the worst thing to get used to

@Tinkeringbell It's always the risk when answering a "fresh" question. That's why I find it less stressful to write questions than answers, you can take all the time you want and it doesn't matter ^^

Heh. And then change your question once it has an answer? :P

It's okay, I like answering a bit better than asking... it allows me to dive into things and increase my own understanding of how things work, AND share that with other people :)
