I recall hearing a CM say a while back that the optimal mod team includes 1-2 people who are already mods and one new person.

I think you and @Catija are better picks because you both have lower mod loads already and are a bit more active on meta and main.

I also have 2 other (non-mod) people in mind from the list of nominees who might be good choices.

I mean, I think I'm a good choice. That's why I accepted the nomination. And if I was asked, I'd absolutely do it.

Which annoys me.

Sometimes they even send an offer to someone who wasn't even nominated.

And if that's the case, it would be nice if the downvoters explain why.

@Mithrandir That happened to me once. I declined because I thought I was not the right choice for the site. And the mods they chose have done an absolutely fantastic job on a site that can be difficult at times to moderate.

I trust SE in this more than I trust the community on stuff like this.

Windows 10 has an awful settings page

I made the mistake of looking through it, I changed the name of my computer from ACER983897938u9283y08309 or whatever to something cool, and then, boom, now my internet is broke.

It took me an hour to figure out how to reset the wifi adapter

I wish I had the cash to buy either a decent windows laptop or a Mac.

I'm scared to install linux on this beast because I'm scared its going to break everything

@10Replies The only problem with Vista is that it's made by Microsoft. Unfortunately Win 10 has the same problem.

I suppose either one could be okay if they were fixed, but why bother? MS has already neutered their users.

I'll be honest... it can be difficult living with someone who is deaf... though she had her own oddnesses that didn't really relate to that.
