@SmokeDetector I'm always so tempted to send troll emails to these emails.
Okay, does anyone know why my comment flags here interpersonal.stackexchange.com/questions/8422/… were declined?

Q: How to express an idea to a person effectively?

Vipin KrishnanI find it difficult to express idea effectively. When i put my thoughts into sentences, it become very complex and people get bored. If anyone could guide me, help me!

10:53 AM
@D.Hutchinson I almost think they must have a store in Amsterdam, but at least the brand is Dutch: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotch_and_Soda_(clothing) It's overpriced though
@TheTinyMan Yep. Especially the bracelet.
@D.Hutchinson Looks good on you ;)

@ExtrovertedMainMan VTCs as Unclear

@Mithrandir Leaves a nice clear comment as well I hope that one get's an example edited in, that would help
Okay, I think I voted to close all questions asked here yesterday, so... Time for breakfast :D

grumbles I have been leaving way too many comments here.
Trying to help moderate IPS sucks up way more time than actual mod duties on Literature.SE.

@Mithrandir yup.
@Mithrandir will do

Also don't ever say, "you look sick". — Perry_M 13 hours ago
Hm. I don’t think this answer actually knows so much about the German culture in question.

In the UK as well, you may not word it exactly like that, but sure, you'd say, " are you okay, you look a bit weary" or something
There is no cultural taboo against it

Q: How to make peple think alike?

Vipin KrishnanThere were times it happened that they wrongfully concluded what I am getting at and talk to me back on their misunderstanding. How do we make understand those people who thinks along with listening?

Man, there've been some, uh, interesting questions recently.

@ExtrovertedMainMan I've submitted a suggested edit to this question that should hopefully clean it up a bit and I think it can be reopened after it gets approved. interpersonal.stackexchange.com/review/suggested-edits/5821

Q: How do I tell my parents "I don't want to go to church because I don't get anything from it, and 'traditions be damned'"?

Thomas WardThis is a little bit of a complicated problem. My mom and dad are both Catholic, and they have a tradition - every Easter and Christmas, they take the immediate family (themselves, me, and my sister) to Church. There's just a few small problems: neither me nor my sister get anything from it. A...

@CaptainBohemian interesting -- what is the dish exactly?
@CaptainBohemian meal today will be: grilled half-chicken, rice, beans, salad, and two servings of (hot) rice pudding. From a middle-eastern restaurant that I've been going to a lot lately.
my* meal
@Tinkeringbell thanks :P

@D.Hutchinson I see the picture is some broiled meat.

@Tinkeringbell yeah, they're a bit pricey but I don't go often. Once or twice a year - and I only get stuff that I know I'm going to wear all year long, so I feel it's worth it :)
(@Tinkeringbell compared to, say, buying a bunch of stuff from the Gap, banana republic, other cheaper stores and then never wearing that stuff that I buy ... I'd rather buy a few nice things and know that I'm gonna wear it all the time ... and not just have it collect dust in my closet... )
@CaptainBohemian haha
can you send a link?
@Catija lots of wabbits lately :P
@CaptainBohemian in terms of meat, I can think of three places in New York that are "best": Katz's deli has the best pastrami sandwich, Peter Luger has the best steak, and Mark Joseph has the second-best steak :)

Q: How to Deal Professionally and Stress-Free With Complaining Co-Worker

Mike ZI need advice on how to deal with this co-worker that complains VERY ferociously about issues, with almost all of them being minor issues. If I do not cut her off she seems to go on forever. Once I was listening to her complain about something that is a essentially a non-issue for several minut...

@D.Hutchinson I found the website of that hotel, but it doesn't have the picture of its food. Or maybe I just don't see where it hides. I saw that animate advertisement in its first floor hall.

Q: Both question go to the same link

Juan Carlos OropezaI was searching for a question I read last week because want to share with my brother. The problem is when you search the term "chess" the question I want appear on the first position (because is the most recent), but the link take me to the same question as the one on second position.

@D.Hutchinson There are pictures with the caption saying American beef. You need to roll down quite much to see it. I guess it's just the picture I see in its hall. But this website is in Chinese. bigfang.tw/blog/post/40755175

Q: How to deal with elderly relatives who say things like “if I’m still here next year...”?

user10610Sometimes my grandparents (in their 80s) occasionally make off the cuff comments such as “if I make it that long” or “if I’m still around by then”. One of them, my Nan, would chastise my great great auntie who used to say the same (she died this year at 92). My instinct is to also chastise them f...

@ExtrovertedMainMan Say the same thing about yourself, but in a really grim, worried tone, and refuse to speak of it further.
