@AndyW I found a will once which described in excruciating detail, page after page, exactly how and when the testator wanted his estate distributed, and if this and if that...then a codicil not long later that basically said nevermind give everything to my brother-in-law...

@HarryVervet: Wow. Surely that warranted a new will! I don't actually know the procedure with announcing wills after someone's death. But I'm imagining a TV-show style read-through of the will, with all the possible heirs getting excited about their inheritance, and then get to the codicil where everyone turns and stares coldly at the smirking brother-in-law. :)
