There might another option available for this question come January next year, assuming that he follows through on any of his promises: "accidentally" revealing to immigration that she's Muslim travel.stackexchange.com/questions/24540/…
("He" being Trump, not the OP)

Seriously... minor or not (we do not actually know), I cringe at the thought this Delta traveler calling the Delta customer service
It's no wonder she didn't get a concise answer to a trivial question
Even if the OP is not Muslim, is she "reveals" that she's one, they won't believe any claims to the contrary.
I haven't posted it on the question as I don't think it's going to happen. If nothing else, the tourism and university education sectors will be dead-set against it.

As if they couldn't make economy worse
Er wait, that's what they did
how are they even going to enforce that? It will be a mess in line
and it's not like a UA passenger who buys this fare and finds himself stuck in zone 5 will ever dream of getting their bag in an overhead bin anyway
03:42
Right. If it doesn't fit under the seat in front of you, it doesn't go on. And since they're last to board it will be easy enough to enforce that.
Though if I fly out of MHT it's not on United as their fares out of here, even for economy, are ridiculous compared to Southwest, which isn't doing this bag insanity.
yeah but even trying to check what fare people purchased while they're in line to board will a bit of a mess, and if you do show up with a bag, they have to stop and deal with you
Maybe. We'll see how it goes, I suppose
Of course it's never really crowded here, so it might not make much difference locally
Well, OK, it gets crowded when Logan has to divert flights.

I'm thinking of the kind of thing that happens if a company just books the ticket "because it's the cheapest" and someone doesn't realize the limitations. It also winds up being a way to raise fares on non-basic economy tickets
Yes, it could work out that way, too

Oh dear. Seems the ban has been served out and Dr Inane Comments is back.
Time to find out how to work the flag on comments. If he gets enough (rightly) ones he might get banned again.
I think I have only ever flagged one Comment, just not something that "appeals" to me (I do try and tidy up my own both day-to-day and 'old' ones in batches). However I hope others flag DIC and may even make an exception and start doing so myself.
I have not reported many comments as I feel that a bit of chat or sarcasm is allowed there but I have minded the long walls of text by a certain user and would not mind reporting the worst of those.

a certain user makes me a little uncomfortable. I suspect I may be, after DIC, the worst culprit!
If you are in a habit of posting three maximum size replies on every single comment which pings you, you might start thinking about changing your habits. (And I am sure you do not do that.)
I go more for 'pithy' - but still 'in quantity' :)
? How many one liners equate to one max length ...
I do not mind the one liners, I do not mind the odd maximum length comment, I do mind serial max length in succession.
(I do post quite a few comments myself, both one liners and long ones.)

A: UK EEA Family Permit Refusal for Lack of Communication Evidence

phoogThis looks a little fishy. According to EUN02: When a marriage / civil partnership of convenience is suspected, the burden of proof is high and rests with the ECO. They have use the refusal formula that corresponds with inadequate evidence to support your claim of relationship, but you hav...

Thanks in advance.

Also, the UK.gov seems to be saying erroneously that you need a "family of a settled person" visa if you want to remain in the UK with your family. Shouldn't it be called something else if you're applying for it while already being in the UK? This is in reference to:

Q: UK 'family of a settled person' visa: can apply when in the UK?

Michal CharemzaOn https://www.gov.uk/remain-in-uk-family it states You need a ‘family of a settled person’ visa if you want to stay (‘remain’) with a family member or partner (for example, spouse) who’s living in the UK permanently and you’re: already in the UK However, on https://www.gov.uk/jo...

Here's the gov.uk (not UK.gov, of course, as stated previously) page:
@phoog Doesn't Expats have a chat room? :)
@pnuts Of course. But the last messages from 20 days ago were @Fiksdal complaining that the previous message had been posted 106 days before that, and a moderator's response. GayotFow is not pingable in that chat room, so I pinged him here.
No big deal.

Q: Can I bring my family if I get a working visa to Ireland?

chxIf a citizen of the USA gets a working visa to Ireland, can he bring his wife and under 18 children?

22:57
@phoog That's fine, optionally you can add that the Skype etc does not support the point and actually helps prove their point. It's good you were able to dig out the better formula. Based on the refusal notice, they have a very weak case; I'm not sure a solicitor would take it on, but you can always link to the Law Society. The firm Kingsley Napley is the best qualified for an appeal or fresh application.
