@SQB Are you taunting me with Taylor Swift photos? ;)

@Edlothiad, what is your secret? How do you get to the reviews so fast?

@amflare it's a dark and winding road that leads to failed degrees, I can't share it

> "I don't want to talk too much about it, but Damon is thinking about it in a way exactly as you describe it," Bloys said. "Which is, how do you take the material and derive from it a TV show, without making it a literal translation?"
> Would that mean creating material for the show that wasn't in the graphic novel? "I think so, yes," Bloys responded.
Triss was really cool in the game.

Why does scifi.stackexchange.com/q/165944/4918 have so many downvotes?
"Did Hermione still have a crush on Lockhart in “Order of the Phoenix”?"
Ah, I see! It was a worse question but later got edited.
People who downvoted, re-read the question, because it's become better with the edits.
Well I still think it's a pretty bad question.

scifi.stackexchange.com/a/165980/4918 "I don't remember a scene with pottery specifically, but this sounds similar to the main conceit of Tamora Pierce's Circle Universe series, where the main characters all learn of their special magical abilities to manipulate specific substance - one has special abilities related to weather, another to plants, a third to anything relating to knots/threads/weaving, etc."
Is that a common trope? It sort of describes the supernatural powers in Lois Lowry's Gathering Blue and Messenger too.

Q: Looking for a Sci-Fi Hardback Book Series from the 1980's

Donnie Dale Evans IIOne of the stories was about a colony ship pilot, who wakes up find the previous pilot hadn't gone to sleep yet, but was waiting for him. Another was about a space ship that discovered a planet where everything had been disassembled. Yet another was about a group of scientists who had discovered ...

^ Got edited with important new information that will probably help locate the story: "The end of the story was the awakened pilot discovering that the ship had landed years ago, but that not a single ship's pilot had wanted to awaken others to start the Colonization."

I caved in. I'm finally merging my two SE accounts. I requested a merge on the contact form.
I avoided merging them for lots of years.
@b_jonas Why? :)
@Gallifreyan Dunno. Maybe so it's less obvious to connect my real name and identity with my Sci Fi SE account (though it was already easy, this will just make it slightly easier).
Note that merging only became useful after the unified login on SE sites: before that I could easily be logged in with both logins from the same browser profile.
And I haven't used my other account much since the unified login got implemented.
stackoverflow.blog/2010/09/11/global-network-auto-login says unified login was implemented in 2010. Wow, that's longer than I thought.
Also, that can't be right. My accounts aren't that old.

Q: Short story where a newspaper reporter's mind switched with a collie’s mind by surgeon; spells out words in dirt, convinces colleagues he is human

InterocitorA reporter who was sent to interview a surgeon is kidnapped by him and used as a human experimental subject. The surgeon surreptitiously tricks the reporter into inhaling halothane anesthesia (known for its quick action - '...even taking experienced anesthesiologists unawares'.) and by some sort ...

That's a great question, but it would be even cooler if you added when, where you read this, and in what language. — Gallifreyan 8 secs ago
Marvin is lazy.
I got lazy, auto-commenting was too difficult
Curse the person who decided to put each page of this artbook into a separate pdf page -_-
Why there's no new metas?
oop nvm

Q: Should this answer about who played Seeker for the Gryffindor Quidditch game in the first Harry Potter book have been deleted?

MithrandirThis answer, to a question about who played Seeker for the Gryffindor Quidditch team in the first Harry Potter book, said this: During a conversation before the first quidditch match in 'Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets', while 'Wood' was going over tactics when they were changing for ...

If you delete a -3 or lower scored post.
Nothing to do with timing.
@Marvin Answered. Sploosh!
@Mithrandir Has to be before any answers get posted.
So yes, there is timing involved.
As long as none of them have positive scores. Just need a couple socks ;)
@Mithrandir Yes, but you can't delete a question with a positive-scoring answer.
Jinx.
21:43
@Marvin also, I intentionally avoided saying either Philosopher's Stone or Sorcerer's Stone ;)
The Art of Witcher 3 let me down. It claims Geralt is around 100 years old at the time of the game.
