@doppelgreener I have a mess of point-form notes in a draft answer. Today seems to be wet-noodle-for-a-brain day, but it's getting there; just need a solid bit of composing-capable brain!

@KorvinStarmast I appreciated those factors too, but it is generally unwise to enter a debate with a lack of background knowledge to point out maybe someone is just doing a whole lot of bad things. (a number of things said in that post also miss the mark in some way, and background knowledge would've avoided that.)
