There was a post on /r/owlboy to get just his head into r/place but the activity on that subreddit is too low to really get anything going. I guess that one could have been done by one person without the time limit, but the repeated CAPTCHA sure is annoying.

I figured I'd try doing a little hexagonal lattice and see how far it can get before I run out of space and patience. I just finished the first hexagon a little south-west of the PPCG logo (near 640, 240). feel free to help if anyone's bored.

(I'll probably start the next one going southwest or southeast, so that I don't collide that big ball that is being built there, whatever it is)

It resets if you refresh though

For Chrome: You can trick it by keeping it as an active tab, and then use other programs. Make sure you don't maximise those programs though, since that will also freeze the timer.
