@andselisk Consider me converted regarding not using the minus sign for everything the day I remember all the required keyboard "shortcuts" :).

btw @Martin-マーチン, update the current hw count?
@andselisk looking at the mhchem doc: "For text, the en-dash will be used as a minus sign." Works the other way around too. Hehe

@BuckThorn Compose key FTW.

@NisargBhavsar would you like to join in spring cleaning? We could use more hands :D
@SafdarFaisal I would surely be happy to help. I don't know how much I will be able to contribute because of time constraints but I can surely try my best.
@NisargBhavsar You might have an idea about what goes on here. You can edit questions and fix mathjax on them. If you feel a question needs to be deleted, post it here as a single link post and then in a following post explain why the question needs to be deleted.
Normally the mods who are active here would weigh in and if the post gets the approval to delete by two people. it will be deleted. Treat every post as if you see it on the front page.
^^ current list of score 1 homework quesrions.
I had a query when I read the meta post about Spring Cleaning, a week or so ago. How many edits should I make in a particular amount of time? I ask this because excessive editing clogs the front page with old questions and the newer questions are kind of side played.
@NisargBhavsar it depends, just don't make small edits where you just remove the tag and rather rework as much as can be done in the post. Also, this is voluntary and so as long as you feel it hasn't gone overboard you can edit.

Ok! So let's begin! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
@NisargBhavsar Pretty soon you will hit 2k rep and stop gaining rep for edits. Hope the motivation stays :P
To be honest I don't care much about rep, unless it stops me from using a feature. And technically speaking it's 2 krep! ° ͜ʖ ͡ -
@NisargBhavsar XD

@orthocresol Yeah I saw that, and I reread my response. I guess I have been pretty inconsistent when it comes to writing those. Plenty of times I've gone with the mathrm route, and plenty of times it was the ce one. It's a pretty stable workaround, and honestly, one I don't mind. Other times I've avoided MathJax altogether. But please go ahead and edit it to your liking.

Back in the days we had these great questions ;) chemistry.stackexchange.com/q/5289/4945
That wouldn't fly a nanometre today...

Since we were on the subject of electron config... the next needs some help, but there is something about this title that irks me badly

Q: Why an asymmetric geometry with sp3d and sp3d3 hybridization?

GerardA molecule in which the central atom is $sp^3d^2$ hybridized ($\ce{SF_6}$), for example, acquires an octahedral shape, which can be explained by assuming that the hybrid orbitals arrange themselves to minimize repulsion amongst themselves. An octahedron makes sense, it the only way to symmetrical...

Ah! Seeing it here, I noticed it: Why this question no verb?
19:50
@andselisk At one point, I almost added electron configurations to the feature set of \ce. I thing there is a discussion in meta. I still might add it, if there is no syntax overlap.
