A: Addition of hydrogen bromide to 1,3-butadiene: thermodynamic and kinetic control

orthocresolThermodynamic and kinetic control This is a classic example of the concept of thermodynamic versus kinetic control of a reaction. Take a look at this energy profile diagram.1 The horizontal axis is a reaction coordinate, and the vertical axis represents Gibbs free energy. In this scenario, th...

Any reason you would not want to use the better looking markdown list in the "notes and references" section of your answer?
I was about to convert it into a nice looking markdown list, but then realized you've put those numbers as a 6, 7, etc.

Q: Standard LaTeX notation of SN, multiple acid dissociation constants, and electronic effects

Gaurang TandonI find these inconsistencies a lot in older posts and till now haven't found a suitable response, so I decided to post eventually. SN notation: I have found three popular notations for this: $S_N2$ $S_N2$ $\mathrm{S_N2}$ $\mathrm{S_N2}$ SN2 SN2 Multiple acid dissociation constants...

currently it's just a "hot meta post" with a lot of comment discussions but no definitive conclusion
and it's over two weeks old

i rejected your edit here @AvnishKabaj chemistry.stackexchange.com/review/suggested-edits/75165 because you removed the pKa data without stating the reason in your edit summary and misspelled HOBr as hyper bromous acid

I edit slow you were done with the post before me

@AvnishKabaj oh sorry! imho there should really be a way to disallow simultaneous edits
