Is your Antivirus actually running a scan? How frequently is it set to scan the computer?

Try resetting your windows defender settings to default, also check task scheduler for tasks that are enabled with conditions of Idle, Power and Network. If this works then you need to either check what settings you need or get another antivirus solution.

@music2myear I don't have an antivirus... I just use windows defender.

Windows Defender IS antivirus, and is the system controlling the "Antimalware service executable" visible in your first image. Please open your Windows Defender program, observe if it is actively running a scan, then check a few hours later and see if it is still scanning.

You can right-click on the Service Host instances and select Go To Details, then right-click on the selected svchost.exe instance and select Go To Services, and you will see the services running under that specific Service Host instance. What are these services? Also, ending the task isn't going to diagnose WHY the antivirus was running so high for so long.

@music2myear Here's the list of the services: AudioEndpointBuilder, StorSvc, SysMain, TabletInputService, UmRdpService, wudfsvc. And the antimalware is back wtf... Just checked the service, it's windows firewall, even though its not doing anything, it hasn't scanned in weeks

Services restart themselves. Ending service tasks is more akin to a reboot than a shutdown. So the Firewall is the one driving most of the CPU traffic? Are you downloading something? Do you have a Torrent client or similar file sharing service running?

there's is no button, for resetting to default, but the default settings an be found on MS page for the product.

use WPR/WPA to capture and analyze the cpu usage: superuser.com/a/1164299/174557. expand the stack of the svchost.exe process in WPA which has most cpu usage (weight %) and loo for the function names to see what the svchost.exe does

@music2myear Yes, the firewall is causing the most traffic, but when I end it other tasks take over in occupying my cpu

Then I would suggest that you run a full virus scan on your computer. Probably install Malware Bytes AntiMalware and have it update and run a full scan too, just as a "second opinion". Then uninstall any unnecessary or unused programs.

@music2myear Actually installing malwarebytes is what started all this... I uninstalled that program but this program still persists...

Please stop trying to end the antivirus service. As I explained earlier it will just restart itself, and if it is running "hot" that means it needs your attention.
