@winwaed cooking exploded too ... i reckon lots of programmer types (me included) like to come home, get our hands dirty and make/grow something you can smell, touch and taste. holding a newly grown cucumber in your hands beats anything on screen

I think I might widen that to be more creative and constructive (in addition to smell/touch/taste). We're a creative lot but it is usually all theoretical bits & bytes. I'm also into model railroads which is constructive. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a lot of craft and woodwork types as well.
